holidays

i love holidays...time with your family, chillin, walking, eating, loving...who doesn't love that.

we have two weeks of holidays in the summer and one at christmas time. this week we decided to stay home and venture to places around us, as there is so much here. we decided that our hotel has the best bed and sophie gets her own room...can't go wrong there.

and just in case you were wondering what it was we needed holidays from, this is what scott works so hard at! this boy and his toys, i have given up on the idea that one day he may outgrow it, and have settled with him having this little action figures as long as i don't have to find a spot for them in our dorm apartment. and ps, this is only two of the many pictures that could show just how many he has...he is my special.

so, we started and ended the week with our new philosophy, that is, if it is sunny, we will be outside...i guess that means that church is out during the summer. so the first sunday found us back at white rock beach for some diggin good times.

scott started making a sand castle and was soon joined by his little sophie who was very excited to help him...not too sure if he was excited about the help, but he received it anyway.

sophie stealing her dads bucket used for the sand castle...getting caught!
the end productnew activity...seaweed...this all to protect the precious sand castleit didn't last long as that castle was just too tempting...thus destruction startedup on the grass for lunch and warm up timea daddys tummy is just too good to resistand so are a mummys shoes.
we were so excited to see our friends brian and hellen for their yearly visit from new zeland. their daughter is only three months younger than sophie and good times were had by all. they came for dinner on the thursday night and then on friday brian and our family headed down for a little shopping in the states.

you are wondering what she is looking at/touchingit is not only her belly button that she finds interestingsophie kissing the hulk...a new toy for scott from brian and hellen...please may she not grow up to be like her dad.heading out...see our hallways could pass as a hotel hallway...imagine.
found a new little park by our house, williams park.
learning to throw rocks into the stream...and loving it.she found the only patch of dirt and sat in that instead of the nice grass"all done"rocks are so much cooler than sliding
what can i say...i love my little family and i so enjoyed every moment of our little holidays together. we may not have traveled to the coolest places or done the most exciting things, but walking with your hands full (that would be one full with an ice cream cone, and the other with your families hands) is pretty sweet if you ask me.
