love sicky

so sophie has these water crayons for the bathtub, but scott and i decided that she was too young for them and therefore have taken them over for writing love notes in the shower to each other. this morning i received the following... "you are so very kind, thank you. love sicky" i wanted to reply, you are so very sicky, i am not thankful. love kind. last night scott was up all night long while he rid his body of any possible item in it. i honestly have never seen or heard anyone so sick...i felt helpless. i stood and rubbed his back at times and tried my best not to gag. i offered him a cold towel for his head. but i really have no clue as to what to do in such circumstances. if it were mom werdal, she would make jello and give ginger ale. if it were mom farrell, she would make some toast with nothing on it and give ginger ale. me...i don't know what i do yet. the best part... last night after he finished a bit he stood up to brush his teeth and i noticed him looking at his profile in the mirror. there is no way i thought...but i asked anyway, "dude are you really checking yourself out to see if you are losing weight?" a small smile crept across his pale, clammy face. i guess that's one thing it is good for.

not many words today, just some pictures to share,

this is sophie and her dear friend charlee. they are the cutest two little girls together, sometimes we wonder if there is a little too much love...

sophie and i take the afternoons to walk the campus together...

and finally, of course, the bathtub pictures

so this is sophie as she grows.

new year

merry chirstmas and happy new year to all.

we had, as usual, quite the adventures this december, including two birthdays, five christmastimes, a daughter who started walking, a boys weekend, and goodtimes with friends celebrating new years...are you serious. we also have very few pictures to prove any of it. but this is what i do have

our first stop of the season was to see thayne and tiana. uncle thayne and sophie were have a great time together until i showed up, and then the star got stuck in her nose...just not the picture i was going for.

then we were down island to see my side of the family (this is where there are no pictures). and finally across to celebrate with the werdals. sophie and grandma had a great time opening gifts together. sophie gets into it, facial expressions and all, she is very excited about her lawn mower from grandma, and auntie chels helps her with it.

my dear friend liana gave sophie a walker/car that we spend many hours out in the trinity halls with, up and down, down and up...and then some more...and maybe even a little more after that

i told you i really had no pictures from our december adventures, maybe next year i should remember a little less hanging out and a little more picture taking. all in all, i can say that we had some really great times with our families, and it was so good to share christmas with them this time as we couldn't last year.

i thought that perhaps i would included us making applesauce as a way to fulfill your werdal quota for the time being...some of us peeled, some of us cut and some of us just ate.

while i finished up with making soup and applesauce scott and sophie read together. he is such a great man, being both husband and father.

and lastly...bath time before bedtime.

and pretty much, that is us.
hope you all had a great christmastime and new years.
