S.L.O.W.

Student Leadership Orientation Week.
every year the girls and i take this opportunity to venture to the island and play.
nine days of adventures and traditions.
nine days of eating peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies.
nine days of driving my mom crazy.
we love it.
day one started with a classic day for us
dallas road/ogden point cafe/the breakwater
we spent a few days enjoying lunch and companionship with my grandparents, this is a treat that always includes organ playing, silly pictures and a wonderful time together. fort rod hill
always with great company we explore the tunnels and old buildings of the fort.
we run hard and try to soak in as much information as possible....well at least we try for the information part, sometimes the running gets in the way.
devonian park.
located in metchosin, my home town. we walk the trail that leads through the woods and ends up at the beach. this year we brought liana along, i always enjoy her company, have since grade seven. we found frogs, threw rocks and chased kenda longing for her attention. goldstream park.
i love the beauty of this place and we enjoyed it this year with great friends. waterfalls, rivers, and trees, what more can one ask for.
pizza night at the beach.
my mom was not too sure how this would go. we brought a blanket to sit on, hats to wear and sweaters to keep us warm. the wind blew through our hair and the black clouds looked daunting, but we had a great time. petting zoo at beckon hill park.
brushes, goats, crazy men who should not be putting on kids shows...kinda a great day! these were some of our nine days.
we came home a little more full, a little more tired, with a few more pictures.
my mom phoned the following day and said her house was too quite...not sure if she was complaining or not, our house was not...maybe she would like to switch for a while!
thank you to all how shared in our adventures, thank you for building memories with us.
