the annual trip

during the past four years we have taken the same trip with the same people at the same time...well mostly the same people. families have grown, some can't always be there, but we try, this year was no different. wednesday night we headed for the island. by thursday we were enjoying companionships, treats and waves. we spent the next three days sitting on the beach, building sandcastles and forts, playing chase, eating, wiping sand out of eyes and mouths, sharing stories, sitting around the camp fire, laughing, eating a little more and building memories with people who have blessed us and built into us. three families, seven kids, two campsites, four days, too many marshmallows, nine loads of laundry, two dish loads, and a few good waves...these are the images and memories we made.

that is a load of beautiful kids all in one place together.
i think you could rock the wetsuit without the hood... :)
also...what is with the size difference in the boards with you girls? I mean, that tall one is HUGE! (i know nothing about surfing, can you tell?)

beautiful photos as always! You sure do know how to capture a moment... these pictures will for sure bring smiles to your girls faces as they look over them when they are older! Can't wait for more days on the beach!!!!!!!! Also... I love that your girls are such little ragamuffins! I have always said that I want ragamuffin children... the kids with their hair slightly askew, a little dirt on their pants and the biggest smiles on their faces!
