and they dance

the beginning of dance. the beginning of pink shoes, skirts and leotards. the beginning of endless shows in the living room and pretend dance classes with miss kelly. the beginning of disney songs being played on repeat for dance music....well that one never really stops.

school room

this is where we learn.
a little bit here, a little bit there, stations.
stations for reading, for maps, for animals, for coloring, for learning.
my heart is to teach these children with passion, to teach them about Jesus, to teach them how to love well, how to live well.

grade one...

...and preschool.
two little girls at the kitchen table learning their little hearts out. it has kinda been a blast so far. i feel blessed to able to teach them from home, for them to be able to learn from home. it is amazing to have our family grow and participate with each other every day throughout the day.
so here we go, the start of grade one and preschool. i can hardly believe it.
and yes the girls did see these pictures before i put them up and they feel that these are the ones that they would like to represent them for the rest of their lives...this is how we look mom...we like those ones. alright then, here you go, sophie and penny the way we want to remember you, they way you want us to remember you. good thing i love you.

65

on july 12 1947, norman george alexander anderson married the love of his life, catherine ada smith. 65 years later we celebrated them. we celebrated their commitment and steadfastness, their devotion and adoration both to and for one another. they are precious and beautiful. it is an honor to call them my grandparents, to watch our children learn from them and pray for them.
i have loved being apart of their family. i have been blessed by their kindness and wish for the years of love that they share to continue. 65 years, i can hardly imagine but i dream of the possibilities.

first one gone

our first tooth is gone.
yesterday it was wiggly.
yesterday there were many many tears over the fact that she would lose the tooth soon.
today it is out.
today there is joy over the fact that she has no bottom tooth.
not sure i was ready for this stage, but ready or not it came and came fast.
ready or not we are doing this growing up thing way too fast.
awesome.
but not really.
on a side note.
if you ever get the thought of sending or buying our children clothes can you just stop there and go to the bathing suit isle instead. pretty much all we wear over here, all year long.
